I love being Gray. I go with everything!
Yesterday was Mom's Birthday and it got her to thinking about all kinds of stuff.
When Mom was 11 years old she went with a little friend to Boston Garden to see her very first concert. It was The Monkees. I am not sure, but I think it was about eleventy billion years ago. Mom had a serious crush on Mike! She never missed their show for any reason.
One of her favorite songs was Shades of Gray and I found this video for her! Look! Even the TV show was Gray! I guess she must have loved Gray waaaaay back then!

HAHAHA! When Mommakitty wuz little, she saw da Monkeys on TV. But because she wuz livin' in Japan, their voices were dubbed in Japanese!

ReplyDeleteAnd #1 says that grey is her second favourite shade of Kitty (after "Aby")!

Grey is a great colour for cats. I like the silvery shine of the Russian Blue aswell. Grey goes with anything! Did you see the little solid grey spot on my back leg?

If you can't be orange, then gray is a very good color to be, because it goes well with orange.
ReplyDeleteI hear all blue gray cats have a bit of Russian Blue cat in them. I'm glad we are OK with the Russians now, I don't think I could effectively defend our house against both Persian Iraqi cats and Communist Russians Blue cats.
Best to your Mom on her birthday. How many lives does she have left now?
Oh, and Blondie liked Peter best. She still goes around singing "Wake up sleepy Jeannie..." and Bernie occasionally sings "Hey hey wer're the Monkees" even though there is not a monkey to be seen any where. But he seems happy when he does it, so that OK with us.
I wish I was gray :(

ReplyDeleteKitties aren't supposed to tell secrets, but I'm guessing my mom is the only cat mom out there that has the entire collection of Monkee TV shows on DVD. She loved Mickey the best and my dad thinks Mike was the best. Am I the only kitty out there that has been made to watch the shows?
