the "Formerly Not Exactly Feral But Outside", but now I’m Inside, Smilin’ Edition!
Yesterday Daisy’s post told us all about a Smile Contest which Mom initially did not think we would enter. Then something awesome happened…
Mom emailed the above photo to enter me in the Smile2 Contest!
Then Mom decided to try an animated photo, too!
I am a very good boy. I am using my litter box. I am purring and talking. My eye already looks better - no more goopies - and the swelling has already gone down quite a bit. Did you notice that I have blue eyes? I cannot see very well with my blue eyes, but they sure are pretty, aren't they? Although some white cats with blue eyes are deaf, I am not. If I hear a sudden noise, I jump and turn around to see. Of course, I am also not completely white!
I follow Mom and sit on her desk and purr at her while she works. Mostly, I am working very hard to get better. Mom is very surprised that I haven’t shown the slightest interest in going Outside. Been there, done that, Mom! I have a home and people to take care of me now!
So, I do not mind if my photo does not win the contest, because I know I am already a winner!
Thank you to everybuddy for purring and praying for me! It’s working real good!

you and your new Mom are winners in our book!
ReplyDeleteWhitey you look so very happy!! You are a winner to us too, but we still hope your photo wins.

Yes Whitey, you are a winner. That is a lovely smile, and you do have plenty to smile about now that you have a wonderful home.
ReplyDeleteWhitey, your smile is very handsome!
ReplyDeleteHaf you efer considered that you may be part (or all) Flame Point Meezer? You haf the points - nose, ears, socks and tail(?), and orangish points are flame points. Maybe one of your parents was a meezer!!!!!!
I love coming by every day to see the progress that Whitey is making. It warms my heart to see his improvement -- the wound is healing very nicely, as is his spirit -- and you are totally responsible for that with your loving, caring ways.
ReplyDeleteI think Whitey may be what they call a shorthair Colorpoint. My Dylan's sister has exactly the same coloring with blue eyes and everything -- she's is neither deaf nor blind. Colorpoints have some Siamese in them from way back -- thereby the points of color on their fur like the ears and tail.
He could be a Flamepoint or an Apricotpoint, and they are fairly rare. He's a beautiful cat inside and out!
Oh you are all angels from above. Thank you for helping a fur-soul in need. His purring and affection are his thanks, and I'm sure he can't possibly thank you enough for your love and compassion. You are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh Whitey, you are a real sweetheart and we just love the picture of you smiling. We are thrilled you are happy with your new home. You have a great Mom now. ~S,S,C & F

ReplyDeleteLatte

Whitey, we can't help but notice you are calling "her" Mom. Does that mean you get to stay? You sure do have a lot to smile about now!
ReplyDeleteWhitey, you have a beautiful smile! I am so enjoying watching you get better, day by day.
ReplyDeleteThe animation is cool!
You're right. You are already a winner!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Whitey! Those 'beans' area REALLY nice, so why WOULD you want to go back outside!!
ReplyDeleteYes, we adopted the 5 little ones when they became orphans on 7/16/08. (their mom went over the bridge after being attacked by some animal in our yard overnight). I was thinking their b.d. must be this past week (we guessed). WOW! The three older ones have gotten used to them, but one still REALLY doesn't like it!
ReplyDeleteWhitey, can you get a message to the Gray Boys that we have tagged them. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWhitey, you look like one very happy kitty. You have the sweetest smile. We're so happy you're feeling so comfortable and happy in your new home.
ReplyDeleteP.S.
That is a gorgeous picture of Grayson in your blog header.

ReplyDeleteI just finished reading both chapters on Whitey along with this post and I just have to say thank you so much for helping this sweet boy and giving him the life he deserves. You make my heart so happy with your generosity and love for Whitey, especially since he looks like he could be my Angel's brother. Gandalf and Grayson, their cousins, Feather and now Whitey are very lucky to have you and Allen watching over them!
ReplyDeleteYou look so happy Whitey!! I'm glad to hear that your eye is getting better and that you are doing so well!!
