Whitey the Wondercat

Whitey the WondercatView On Black
Whitey reminds us of Chuck on Dooce.com. He doesn't seem to mind balancing stuff on his head. What a good boy, Whitey. That mousie would last about a nanosecond on our heads.
On top of being the sweetest cat, he also cracks Mom up!

It's been 2 weeks and 2 days since Whitey was Gotcha'd. We think he's healing quite nicely. What do y'all think?
Whitey is healing up nicely
Whitey loves this mousie. He plays with it, sleeps with it, and apparently, he now balances it on his head!
Mom calls Whitey "Whitey the Wondercat", because it's a Wonder he survived all those years out on his own. Oh, and Mom and Uncle Allen weighed Whitey yesterday... He's gained .6 pounds! Woo Hoo!

50 friends chimed in...:

  1. Whitey, you are just a joy to be around! :-D

    Love, xoxo

  3. Whitey is awesome!!! We are big Whitey fans here on the creek. He reminds us a lot of our Rambler, who also doesn't mind balancing things on his head. Whitey and Rambler are both mellow boys who lived their early lives on the street.
    What a good boy, Whitey!!

  6. Looks like Whitey is doing good. He could use some voice lessons, though. Unless .... You know, he and Buddy could sing as a duo. Whitey could sing the melody and Buddy could howl the lyrics.

Seriously, it's good to see him looking so much better.

  14. Wow Whitey, you are so good at balancing the mice. That would not fly in our household. Our cats don't like stuff on their head, especially a mouse.

Yes, he looks like he's healing quite nicely -- the wound is getting smaller and smaller. And yahoo about the weight gain!

Whitey's attachment to his mousie is also so sweet, and shows his gentle nature. I'm just so happy he's doing so well and is now a loved and content kitty (as all kitties should be).

Every time I see that hole in his head, and how well he seems to be coping, it brings tears to my eyes!

Just think, in 6 months time or whatever, he'll be completely healed, and we'll have to look back to see what he used to look like!

    Yay for Whitey!

  44. Whitey is thriving on your love. It always makes me wonder how totally perfect and wonderful animals end up homeless. If one of my pets wasn't in my sight, I wouldn't rest until it was safe again in my arms.

God bless you and God bless Whitey. He landed in a special home♥
