Do I look Happy? No! I most certainly do NOT!
Whitey and I had a hissy face-off this morning. I got all growly afterward and would not put any weight on my Special Leg. Momma was concerned and decided to bring me a day early for my Booster, which turns out was NOT an Award after all!
Dr. Dave could not find anything wrong my leg. He gave me an anti-inflammatory shot since I was showing signs of being in pain and told Momma to keep an eye on it over the next few days.
Dr. Dave says that anytime a limb is already compromised, it does not take much to set it off. He thinks that is probably all it was.
Momma asked Dr. Dave about my body fat, or lack of fat, akshully. They weighed me and found that I have gained another 1/2 pound in the last 3 weeks. I weigh 5 lbs 3 ozs now! I'm a big kitteh!
Dr. Dave says I am just fine and not to worry. He also told Momma that since I do have a Special Leg and don't walk normally, I will probably never develop muscle in my hips and so they will always feel a bit bony. He also thinks I will be a small-ish cat when I am a fully grown Ladycat, maybe only 6 pounds. Dr. Dave told Momma that she was just used to seeing much bigger cats! hahahaha!
Dr. Dave wants to see me around May 1st for my Ladygardenectomy. I have a sneaky feeling that is not an Award either.
So that was my day. I have decided to take my leave and hide in the corner beside Momma's bedside table. Perhaps a little sulk will do me good.

Oh poor Gracie! We feel for you. We hope your special leg will feel OK again very soon.
ReplyDeleteWe realise that the little op does not sound like that great a prospect but, take it from us girls who haven't had it, the alternative isn't always exactly fun either...
Big sisterly purrs,
Tama-Chan and Sei-Chan (and a comforting lick from Tommy)
Poor Gracie. What a terrible day you've had. A big sulk is definitely in order. We're sure Whitey feels awful about being mean to you. He just doesn't realize how much bigger he is.
ReplyDeletePoor Gracie! I think a little sulk is definitely in order. Plus, it's a surefire way to get attention from your mom.
ReplyDeleteGracie, you definitely do not look happy, in fact you look positively ferocious. We hope your special leg soon feels better again. We are sorry Dr. Dave didn't give you an award. Don't pin your hopes on getting one when you have your ladygardenectomy either. We're just saying because we don't want you to be disappointed.
ReplyDeleteOh Gracie! We're sorry you hadta go see Dr. Dave...and we hope your leg feels better too!
ReplyDeleteThat's just how it should be. Moms that worry and dr. Dave saying you're doing just fine. Too bad the booster wasn't as nice as it sounded.
ReplyDeleteOh Gracie you do look very angry in that picture - first the fight with Whitey then a vet visit - it isn't your day at all! But it is a long time to May 1st so at least you can relax a while. We are sending you lots of purrs so your leg feels better soon. We are very glad you have gained some weight, but you are an adorable petite girl and that is ok!!
ReplyDeleteI would be a bit hissed off as well. After all that wasn't a fun day at all. I hope you got some treats after.
ReplyDeleteAwww. Don't be scaired, u will be okay. Hugs. :)
ReplyDeleteOh dear, not to happy then, huh? Well, it's all behind you now (except for the ladyGX) but don't you worry. It'll all be just a memory within minutes.

We're sorry you had to go to the vet, but we're very glad that you are fine. We're very sorry the Booster was not an award.
ReplyDeleteWe love your new blog design!
Uh oh Gracie. You are such a smart girl...you are right to be suspicious of that ladygardenectomy...it is NOT an award! I speak from experience. It will of course be one of the best gifts your mom can give you even if you won't quite understand that for awhile.
ReplyDeletePee Ess...you remind us of our Mikey. He had a lame hind leg from his injury (when my dad found him on the freeway of all places)...he never could walk quite right but he lived to be 17 years old. We just had to be careful around him and he couldn't play rough.
You had a really rotten day, Gracie. A little sulk is in order, especially if it gets you some attention from your Mom. I hope that your special leg feels better very soon. Herman is sending his best healing purrs.
ReplyDeleteHey, you made your own background. Neat.
ReplyDeleteSorry you have a sore leg, Gracie. Hope it gets better quickly so you can get back to being a kitten.
Gracie, we're sorry you had to visit Dr. Dave, but at least you got great news!...We hope your leg feels better soon and tomorrow will be a better day!...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteOh, we're sorry you're going through so much, but you are extremely cute, even when mad.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry Gracie. I hope your special leg feels better very soon!

ReplyDeleteSweetie we are sorry you had to visit the v-e-t. I had to go for my booster the other day and did not enjoy it one bit. I am sending you big smooches for your special leg to feel better soon.
ReplyDelete-Lishy.
Ladygardenectomy, MOL we love it!
ReplyDeleteWe're gald that everything went well at the v-e-t and your legs is not badly hurted
I just left a comment on Gracie's blog, too. Poor wee thing.
ReplyDeleteWell, on the good side she's gaining well. It's probably better that she'll remain tiny since she has a compromised leg.
My Domino is around 6 lbs. and a bit. It's nice to have a little girl, too, when you have big boys around.
I sure hope she gets fixed up quick.
