She wandered into our neighbors garage about 3 weeks ago. She is about 10-12 weeks old, at their best guess. What a little purring, loving machine she it, too! She definitely has that Tortie Attitude - or Tortitude!
She's very sweet, but they can't keep her. They've been talking to everyone in the neighborhood, at church and at work trying to find a new home for her. They are going on vacation at the end of the month. If they can't find her a home by then they will have to bring her to Animal Control.
We do not have a No Kill Shelter here, so we need everyone in the Cat Blogosphere to help get the word out!
Blog it, Tweet it, Digg it, Facebook it... Whatever way you can think of to get the word out, please!
email Mom if you want to adopt Patches, or if you can Foster her until she finds a home.
Aww we hope somebuddy can give this sweetie a home soon, so she doesn't have to go into a shelter.
ReplyDeleteI hope someone can give her a home!
ReplyDeleteMai hope so too. She iz very, very sweet kitten. She iz people kitty. Loves laps and scritches and everybuddy.
ReplyDeleteShe iz a lot like Whitey. Only little. And not a mancat. And not white.
Oh, she is so precious, she reminds me so much of KC when she was a kitten.
ReplyDeleteWe will be more than happy to post on the CB about finding her a home.
Love & Purrs,
Mom ML & KC
I hope the can find a great forever home very soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you, ML! She needs all the help we can get! Momma just found out from another neighbor (at the Yellow house ) that her neighbor who just moved abandoned one of his kittens when he moved.
ReplyDeleteMomma is seriously hissed off at them and very sad about that kitty.
Some people can be really mean.
Patches is lovely. We sure hope she gets a forever home. We'll purr really loud for her.
ReplyDeleteSniffie and the Florida Furkids
We sure hope that Patches can find a home soon!! She's such a cutie!!
ReplyDeletePatches looks like a lovely kitten - we hope she gets a new home very soon. We hope something nasty happens to the cruel owner who just left her.
ReplyDeleteAkshully, Patches and the abandoned kitties are TWO different kitties. They both need homes.
ReplyDeleteOh she is just beautiful. What area do you live in?

aka: The Taylor CatSSSSS
Deb, we're in Valdosta, GA. It is about as south as you can be in Georgia without being in Florida.
ReplyDeleteMom Barb here.
ReplyDeleteI just found out that my neighbor at the Yellow house just moved and left behind one of his kittens. This kitten is about 6 months old.
Some of you may remember seeing Alice on the blog. Sadly, the neighbors refused to have Alice spayed and when she was only a kitten herself, she had 3 kittens before we moved in February. Even sadder, Alice was hit by a car when the kittens were about 6 weeks old.
The neighbors found a home for one of the kittens, kept one of them and apparently just left this one behind when they moved a few weeks ago! My friend Al told me that the kitten is stating mainly on my front porch over there and that the people who are now renting the house next door are feeding it, but they can't keep it.
So there are 2 kittens who need a home very soon!
I sure hope this beautiful girl finds a loving, forever home soon...But why would anyone, under any circumstances take an animal to a kill shelter?...Can't they ask a neighbor to put out food and water for her while they are gone?...I don't agree with kill shelters and don't understand people ever using them...Best of luck to this sweet baby.
ReplyDeleteYou know where we are, Miz Barb.
ReplyDeleteWe might suggest posting her photo at your local private vet's offices. Talk to the front office staff and let them know what a loving kitty she is. If they know how dear she is, they will be more willing to suggest her. Also your local vets may know of a local private rescue group.
We hope Patches can find a home. We will help get the word out.
ReplyDeleteP.S. We are very upset about Alice. Very upset!
ReplyDeleteMaybe if forever homes can't be found, maybe you can find fosters for the kitties.
Mum will light our memorial candle for Alice. What a sad life and tragic end.
We are purring hard for both of the kittens that need homes.
ReplyDeleteAs for Patches...I'm sure I'd love her...just like Whitey, only not. Purrrrr.....
Patches is beautiful - we think torties are the best around here! We're purring very hard for her - and also for Alice's kitten.
ReplyDeleteI've put her on my blog ...
ReplyDeleteAw, cute Patches definitely needs a forever home! We hope she will soon have one.
ReplyDeleteThey need to contact Best Friends Org- they can help! They can find someone to take her!!! :) they answer questions and will help you find a no kill shelter.

ReplyDeleteThis is so furry sad, but irresponsible pet owners are irresponsible in all areas of their lives and leave those of us with a heart to try and help.
ReplyDeleteYes, try posting at local vets offices, even taking her with you when you take in a flyer...sometimes seeing is 'believing'...
