Fashion Friday: Loon-y!

For today's Fashion Friday I am modeling another one of my pretty dresses that my friends at Friends FurEver sent to to me. This one is a size XS. I am growing fast, aren't I? Mom says I look like a long, skinny tube right now!

I am taking some advice from my Super Model friend, Miss Daisy. She suggested that Mom try treats or toys during the photo shoot. I used my newest toy since I really do not enjoy treats (I know!).

I am pleased to introduce you to my loon, Miss Loony! I just love her. She even wails like a loon! Miss Loony is a Common Loon, although I think she is uncommonly wonderful. Mom has quite a few loons that she collected in Maine over the years at her favorite lake. She was planning to give Miss Loony to her nephew, but she gave her to me instead. Sorry, Tommy! Miss Loony is all mine!

Do you see that we look a little bit alike? We both even have white tummy furs!

The photo above is a very good example of my special leg. I sit like this a lot because I can not bend it at all. I broked my special leg in 3 places when I was just a tiny baby. I do not remember how I did it. Do not worry, though. It does not hurt me and I never let it slow me down!

I was a little bit distracted by my new pet grass... and the plastic bowl that Mom put it in so it would not leak on our desk. Nope! Nothin' to see here!

I decided I'd better give Mom the Love Eyes so she would not be too upset with my frolicking! Do you think that worked? MmmmHmmm!

I had to do the Love Eyes many times because all I really wanted to do was Bunny Kick, Wrassle and put the Big Bitey on Miss Loony!

I was a little bit unhappy about the lasers in this photo, but decided to use it anyway. It was taken at the end of the day, long after my photo shoot was over. I was just relaxing in my office chair. Mom tried to take several photos of me in my office chair but it was too dark and so she had to use the flash. We almost never use the flash, but Mom thought I looked completely adorable so she tried one. I think that you can see that this technique is No Good!

For instance, sitting beside a very floofy gray cat who just happens to weigh 6 pounds less than you works beautifully. Not that mai iz fat.

Gandalf meets Gracie

So... How'd that go?

Not great. But I was at a distinct disadvantage. I was on my way to see Dr. Tad for my annual so I was in the Carrier and already hissy and stretching my voice muscles.

I hissed at Gracie. A lot. She seemed unimpressed. Dum Dum kitten.

Dr. Tad says I am in excellent health! I've maintained my weight since my last appointment, which is really great since my foods for Urinary Tract Health tend to make cats put on weight. Even better, there are no signs of any crystals or a UTI.

Unfortunately, I have to start taking pills! Dr. Tad gave me a prescription for Prozac. He says it will help to calm me down. He and Mom hope that along with all the other things Mom is doing that will help me stop marking. It will take 3-4 weeks before we know if the pills are doing any good.

I hate taking pills. And Mom is not looking forward to that either because I am a little bit naughty when she tries to pill me.

Gracie likes

Fashion Friday

First I must send Great Big Thanks to my friends at Friends FurEver - Sniffie, Ellie, Allie, Tamir, Cubby and Clifford and their wonderful Mom Sharon. They sent me a very generous gift of 4 cute outfits!

FOUR! Can you imagine my excitement?! Thank you SO much!

I get to do my very first Fashion Friday, thanks to them! Mom keeps calling it a Fashion Fiasco because all I wanted to do was play, Play, PLAY!

I played with Mr. Baby Seal from under my Pouting Chair for a long time! And my pink sparkle ball. And my green mousie. And some string... Well, I AM still a kitten, after all!

But then I settled down some and did a little bit of modeling. Do you like my pink paw pads and ears? I'm so glad they are pink. I just love pink!
 

 
I really love this dress! It is all girly girl with pink lace and even a lovely lacy, layered flower on the back! But instead of the flower on my back I would rather show you my white tummy shot! And my green eyes. Mom loves my green eyes.
 

 
I hope you enjoyed my first Fashion Friday! I promise that I will keep practicing my modeling, in between my playing and learning and growing. I hope I will keep getting better and betterer!

But not right now, because right now I really need my beauty sleeps.

Finally Friday

Hooray! It is Finally Friday! Since Mom will be working at the Swamp again, we will probably take in some quality Cat TV on the All-Cat Channel.

The Gray Girl meets Whitey

Mom brought my new BrOTHER Whitey to the Swamp yesterday! I wanted to PLAY! Whitey wanted to be all grumbly and hissy. So I got put back in the bedroom. ALL DAY!

Except when I sneaked out when Mom came in to play with me. ;-)

Whitey got all growly again, but I didn't care. Then I got put back in the bedroom again. NO FAIR! So I kept putting my paws under the door and mew-mew-mewing as loud as I could. But it didn't help one little bit.

And then Mom brought Whitey back home with her to the Pecan Orchard and I got let out of the bedroom. Hooray! The End.

Thank You All!

Mom took Whitey to the Swamp yesterday thinking that might help calm Grayson and give Gandalf a grooming break... and then she brought him home again. He was miserable there without his BrOTHERS. And Mom was even more miserable seeing him like that, not at all like his old sweet self.

We want to thank each and every one of you for your all of the suggestions, tips, links, hugs and prayers. We plan to use each and every one of them until we figure it all out! The Cat Blogosphere is such an AWESOME community, one that we are very grateful to be included in.

Things are gearing up for the big move, perhaps as soon as a few weeks, weather permitting! We sure do miss blogging and visiting every day. Mom reads us as many of your posts as she can on her iPhone every morning. She finally figured out how to load the blogger blogs in mobile mode yesterday, which helps A LOT! They take forever to load, especially when there are lots of gadgets. Commenting is still near impossible, but at least we can see what you all are up to!

Where's that Whitey?

Iz a for real Where's that Whitey today!

In case you missed it, there has been "Trouble in Paradise". You can read all about it on yesterday's DailyGs post. One of the first steps Mom decided to take was to bring Whitey with her to the Swamp. We are all very grateful for all of your suggestions. We might try them all so every G-cat has a chance of achieving Inner Peace and Happiness at the Swamp.

So how did it go this morning? Gracie was very a'cited to see Whitey nd wanted to Play! Play PLAY! with Whitey. Naturally! Mai can understand that. But Whitey has been hissing and growling at that Gracie Girl kitteh ever since Whitey got here. Mom has her in one of the bedrooms with all of her stuff so Whitey can have a chance to get use to the Swamp again. I do like being on Mom's desk again. And there iz very gud smells coming in through the office window! Hello birdies! Mai am back!

But I can still hear that kitteh mew-mew-mewing and it iz making me grumbly. Iz not too gud, but iz not too bad either. Srsly.

We urgently need your help and suggestions

Mom Barb here. I really need some imput from multiple male cat Moms (and Dads). Recently Gandalf has started marking. I have been doing a lot of reading and most of what I have read suggests that the cause is stress.

I did change the litter about a month ago, so that could be part of it. I plan to change it back to see if that helps.

The most likely stress factor is Whitey. He simply will not leave Gandalf alone. Ever! I'm surprised Gandalf has any furs left on his head at all. Grayson and Gandalf's relationship has changed drastically. Grayson is now the lone mancat out because Whitey is always with Gandalf.

Grayson still does not like Whitey. After 6 months there are still daily hissy fits and whapathons. Grayson will come all the way across the room for the sole purpose of whapping Whitey.

I really miss the realtionship that Gandalf and Grayson had before Whitey came. It was a match made in Heaven.

My parents are stressed because they now have to check to be sure Gandalf has not sprayed their furniture before they can sit down. And then there is All.The.Cleaning!

I know I'll probably get a lot of negative comments, but I do need some constructive suggestions. If I can't turn this around very soon I may have to either rehome Whitey or find a No Kill shelter that will take him. And then there's sweet Gracie. I don't know what I am going to do about Gracie. I love them both but I need to do what's best for everyone, but my first obligation is to Gandalf and Grayson.

I welcome your suggestions.

Guess what?

Whitey went Outside this morning for a few minutes! Mom did not have her camera so there iz no photo.

Guess what else? Gandalf acted like he never saw Whitey before. Snarling and poofy furs and everything.

Guess what else? When we went back Inside Gandalf let me groom him again.

He iz a doofus.

Blogger, here we come. Again.

Mom says that in 5 days our domain name will expire and she has decided to just let it lapse. We have also decided that we miss some of the things about blogger so we will be blogging from our original blog effective immediately.

We have enjoyed Wordpress, but we can't do some things on Wordpress and some things are harder to do.

Gracie's new blog is already on blogger. And Whitey will be moving, too. See you back at our old digs!

I am a Gold Digger

This is my first attempt at modeling. I am a little bit stinky at it because all I wanted to do was Play!

But guess what? I really did enjoy wearing my Gold Digger dress!

I wore it for a few hours and just played and played. I felt pretty and playful at the same time!

Mom says since I seem to enjoy wearing cute outfits that maybe I can do this again once I get a bit bigger, because they do not have too many cute outfits in size XXSmall!

Next time, I am hoping for something Pretty in Pink!

Finally Friday

It seems like it's been 2 weeks this week. And very, very cold. There is a rumor going around that it might akshully get to 70 degrees today. Bring it!

Office Work Is Hard

So it is very important to remember to pace yourself.

I has a very big sad

I am very saddened to hear about the earthquake that struck Haiti yesterday. My brothers and I will be purring for all the lives lost, those left behind to grieve and to rebuild and for all of the rescue workers now on their way to assist them.

My Grampy just read me an article from today's paper which said that an asteroid will be passing very close to the western United States in just a few moments.

These things remind me how fragile life is. Today I am especially grateful for my home, family and friends.

The Office Chair

And when I say the office chair it is because there is only one. I have to share with Mom. Sharing is not one of my strong points.

I am the CEO (that stands for Cat Executive Officer)! I need a chair more suitable to my position as well as my invaluable job performance.

I am working my paws to the bone (unless I am playing with my toys, eating my foods, grooming my lovely furs, taking my naps or doing other cute kitteny things to amuse Mom.

I am not one to complain, but this seems a little bit unfair.

I wonder when my pink leather chair will be delivered.

Tweaking

Yesterday I helped Mom tweak my blog. I do not think I have quite enough Pink yet!

Then we set up my Facebook page and Networked Blog. Somehow or another the feed got all messed up on that! It is showing Eric and Flynn's feeds! What in catnip happened there?! We must have had their URL in the clipboard after adding them to my Reader or something when we pasted in the feel URL space. Ooops!

Mom got a little bit crabillated when she realized what she'd done. I just gave her "the look", and then she laughed and we sent off an email to them. Hopefully, they will fix it for Mom. We still can not believe that happened. Obviously I will need to snoopervise Mom a bit more closely!

Thank you for being my friends. My life has changed so much in the last half of my life! I am only 2 months old now and I already have so many friends! And Mom says it won't be long before I meet my BrOTHERS, too!

Welcome to my brand new blog! My name is Gracie. I am still only a tiny kitten, perhaps 2-3 months old. I forget. I am very pleased to meet you!

I was borned feral and got a bad, hurty leg when I was only a teeny, tiny, baby kitten, but that does not slow me down one little bit! I have a big, brave heart and a sweet spirit that can not be squished! Rahr! I am sorry. Did I scare you?


Some nice people caught me and took care of me for about a month. I had to stay in a bedroom all by my own self most of the time. There were 3 woofies always outside my door, bark-bark-barking at me. I was a little bit askeered! I am at the Swamp now and guess what? I get to run anywhere and everywhere I want to inside the whole, big house! 
 
I just found out that I have 3 BrOTHERS that I have not even met yet named Gandalf, Grayson and Whitey. Since I am out-numbered by my BrOTHERS, my Mom says I can have my very own blog.
